The idea of \u200b\u200bthis project was to equip the VCO of an instrument to facilitate the acquisition knowledge about the fish fauna of the area, which educates the sustainable management of natural resources and attention to biodiversity.

Based on this idea and, with the support of Community Foundation of the VCO and CARIPLO Foundation, has established a multidisciplinary working group (scientists, schools, institutions of territorial governance , fishermen and voluntary associations) in the next 18 months will pursue four actions precise.

1. Creating a manual on the fish fauna of the VCO, enriched key recognition e schede descrittive, fotografie e disegni, indicazione gestionali specie-specifiche e sito-specifiche, gratuito e disponibile on-line.
2. Realizzazione di una collezione museale della fauna ittica del VCO, con funzione didattica.
3. Identificazione di markers per la tracciabilità di specie ittiche commerciali.
4. Coinvolgimento del mondo della scuola mediante percorsi educativi per ragazzi delle scuole primarie, secondarie e superiori, nonchè istituzione di stages di formazione tecnico-scientifica in ittiologia per ragazzi della scuola superiore.
